eCommerce has been our biggest category in 2013, so it’s only natural that we’ve been putting a lot of focus into it. All of our recent theme releases have included eCommerce functionality however, single CleanSale, we haven’t released a theme which focuses solely on selling and promoting products as its primary function.
And so, we introduce Store, our latest eCommerce centric theme. It’s design is elegant and characterful, much like Handmade but with a more versatile and less rigid style.
Just like our business themes, Store contains all the same features you see there – items such as an incredible themes options panel, 12 unique page templates, a gorgeous slider and an incredibly flexible home page.
The New Hero Widget
As is the case with sites selling a lot of products, it’s often difficult to display that content elegantly – specifically when you want that content to be easily scanned by your visitors. With the Hero Widget we aimed to solve that problem.With the new widget you are able to list items on sale, categories, featured products and recent products or collections. It’s dynamic and has similar usability to our super powerful Obox Content Widget.
Along with the new Hero Widget, you can also feature specific categories in a three bloxk layout and add a call to action button in your footer.
The Design
When starting out with the design of ‘Store’, we researched into some big online retailers to find out what is really need for large sales numbers.The design for Store came from the need to provide retailers who use WooCommerce with an elegant and useable large eCommerce theme. With a key focus for search and showcasing products, we made sure that a product search field was always visible no matter whether you’re viewing the website on a desktop, laptop or mobile device.
The clean aesthetic lends itself to any online brand. Why? Because we packed it full of color customization options so that you can style it perfectly to your company or business.
We have built the theme with HTML & CSS3, a lot of thought and care went into this theme, we did case studies to decide what features we should add and really make it a pleasure to use.
